Thursday

When I looked out the window this morning, there was a soft mist shrouding the beautiful hills outside. It was quiet except for the occassional bird call. It's hard to believe that it has been two weeks since we departed Birmingham. We have only a few days to go - two days of ministry, one day of sightseeing in Dublin and then on Sunday our day of travel to return home. This morning we will be going to nearby Newbridge. Along the way we should pass the Curragh where sheep are allowed to range free and are often on the road. We will return after lunch for another afternoon and evening of ministry. Yesterday we had about 60 kids for the afternoon session. It was very busy and required a lot of patience and adjustments. God faithfully answered our prayers and just when we took the registration table out to the field beside the gym (which was unavailable for the first part of our programme), the sun broke through and we had delightful weather for everyone to play games outside. God has been so faithful throughout our entire trip. We have had rain, but it has never adversely affected any of our travel or ministry time. Last night everyone did a great job at the youth programme and Jake did a great job sharing his testimony. The drama went well, though at one point we did have an unexpected surprise, especially Odhran. You'll have to ask us about that later. Well, I'd better get my laundry hung out to dry and finish the morning preparations. Thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement! Take care and have a wonderful day!
