Here is another place we visited this morning. It was Moone Abbey where there is a beautiful high cross. On each side there is different imagery from the stories of the Bible. It was a way of helping everyone remember the stories of the Bible. It's quite amazing! (A special thank you to Alasdair MacKenzie in Scotland who could not be with us this summer due to work, but who thoughtfully and graciously sent me for my birthday the wonderful customized official FAIreland jersey I am wearing in this photo.)
