Visiting Newgrange On Saturday

Hello everyone! It has been quite busy here over the past couple of days and time on the internet has been sparse (at least for me). It's hard to believe that we have been here for a week now! The time does fly. We are very thankful to have Eric and Jenni Johnston with us now, so our team is now complete. They arrived early at the airport and just made the early bus connection so we were in Athy when they arrived. They are still jet-lagged, but are doing well. Tonight will be our last night at Urglin Centre here in Carlow. Early Saturday morning we will pack up and move our things to Athy and then proceed on to visit Newgrange (click on the title of this posting to view details about Newgrange which is 500 years older than the pyramids and 1,000 years older than Stonehenge). This is one of the popular sites to see while in Ireland and this will be the first year we will be seeing it. If we have time, we may be able to visit Knowth which is a similar site. After our outing, we will return to Athy and go to our host homes (see travel page of team website for details). Our ministry next week will be in Athy. We will all have much more access to the internet there as well. But we will miss the wonderful people here in Carlow. They have been such a blessing and encouragement to us and we are thankful to God for them! Please pray for us as we travel and make our transition. We are thankful for your support and encouragement as well! We hope you are enjoying the blog and we will continue to post as often as possible.

I love historic sites like this. Seems you all have a blend of things to do and that's great. John P.
