Sunday Morning
Good morning, everyone! It's a cool and slightly cloudy Sunday morning. I can see that we had some rain in the night which is a common occurrence here. I can hear the cows lowing in the field next to us. I need to take and post a photo of Urglin Centre so you will have an idea of what the place looks like. It is quite beautiful. We are next to an old church with a cemetery and behind everything is a field with cows. It's the field you can see out the window of a couple of the inside photos with the window in the background. Everyone is doing well. I don't hear much stirring this morning, so I think most everyone is still asleep. We will soon be getting up and getting ready for church. Several youth on the team will participate in the service with Bible readings and a prayer. After the service, we will be eating lunch with the people from the church in Carlow. Then we will come back to change and proceed to Glendalough where St. Kevin founded a monastery in the sixth century. Glendalough means "glen of the twin lakes". It is a beautiful site nestled in the Wicklow Mountains in County Wicklow which is south of Dublin. This will be our last "touristy" outing for a while as we will soon be very busy with our ministry schedule. It's been quite a few years since there has been a Holiday Bible Club here so we do not know how the turnout will be. Please pray that it will be good and that we will connect well with everyone here in Carlow. Thank you so much for all of your prayers, support and encouragement! Just so you will know, we tried to set up a wi-fi connection here so everyone could connect with you at home more easily, but we were unsuccessful. So everyone will have to take turns with emails. Next week in Athy, we will have a number of computers which the youth can use. Take care and thank you for all your comments of encouragement!
